Dr Shin Li How

Practice Owner & Principal Practitioner

Dr How graduated from University of Newcastle and later obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. 

 

Dr How holds a Sexual & Reproductive Health certificate from SH&FPA. She is experienced with menopause management and contraception, specifically intrauterine devices and hormone implants.

 

Pregnancy can be exciting. Dr How will walk you through your pregnancy journey, from preconception to postpartum. She is an accredited provider in Share Antenatal Care for North, Central and Eastern Sydney Health Districts. 

 

The excitement does not seem to end...Infants, Babies, Toddlers, Kids, Pre-Teens, Teens. Our goal is to improve and maintain your child's overall health and to empower you with an understanding of your child's condition and wellness plan. Here at HerGP, we understand that there are no one-size-cure-all solutions. We take a personalised approach to medicine and take the time to learn and improve with our patients. Don't worry; she has a Diploma in Child Health.

Her other interests are managing iron deficiencies, weight concerns, hair loss, and injectables.

She is a wonderful wife and mother of two children. 

Dr Shriya Gupta

General Practitioner

Dr Shriya Gupta completed her post-graduate medicine degree at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

​

She enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in family planning, women’s health, sexual health, paediatrics, and preventative medicine. She is also an antenatal shared care doctor and can perform Implanon insertions and removals.

​

She is committed to patient-centred care and ensuring positive health outcomes through education, personalized treatment plans, and disease management.

​

She has also completed a Diploma in Child Health and a Master of Public Health.

​

When Shriya is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, exploring the outdoors and going for runs.

Emily Cavanagh

Children and Adolescent Psychologist

Emily is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who is extremely passionate about early intervention and prevention psychology. She enjoys working with children and adolescents to help them learn about and navigate their emotions.  Emily is a strong believer in holistic wellbeing and works collaboratively with parents, schools, and other health professionals to ensure her clients receive wrap-around care in all aspects of their life. Her therapeutic work is based around the scientist-practitioner model and adopts Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) and Dialectical-Behavioural (DBT) approaches, as well as other evidence-based approaches depending on the need of her client.


Emily has a broad experience working with clients across a range of settings including private practice, private hospitals, NGOs, and non-profit organisations. Emily has exposure working with clients across the lifespan and with a diverse range of mental health presentations including anxiety, OCD, depression, self-harm, suicide, emotional difficulties, and perinatal mental health.


In addition to her work as a psychologist, Emily has been awarded membership with the Golden Key International Honour Society and has received multiple awards for her academic achievements including Executive Dean’s Commendation, Executive Dean’s List, Academic Honour Roll, and the Psychology Conference Prize (ACU). She has a national registration as a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with the Australian Health Practitioners’ Registration Agency and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
 

Victoria Lee

Dietitian

Victoria Lee is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and FODMAP dietitian with a special interest in Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

​

Apart from gastrointestinal nutrition, Victoria is also passionate about the area of woman’s health (PCOS and insulin resistance). As a mum, she understands that most women put others first and often neglect their health. Victoria has a strong passion for working with women and loves to work with them to improve their health.

​

Victoria is experienced in helping clients with chronic illnesses such as fatty liver, diabetes, obesity and heart health. 

​

During her leisure time, she likes to explore different cuisines. She is passionate about preparing home-cooked meals for her family and little ones.

Vivian Chau

Psychologist

Vivian is a registered Psychologist/Clinical Psychology Registrar who works primarily with adults. With a compassionate, open-minded, and collaborative approach, Vivian helps her clients navigate through life’s challenges and guides her clients to reach their full potential. She prioritizes having a strong relationship with her clients as she understands the importance of a safe and supportive therapeutic space. Her passion is in supporting individuals experiencing relational trauma (e.g., childhood trauma), mood disorders, interpersonal/relationship issues, and parenting-related stress. She has experience in clinical, forensic, and academic settings, and has facilitated a mindfulness parenting program.

 

In her approach, she is eclectic and flexibly draws upon elements of evidence-based psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Schema-informed Therapy, to meet the unique needs of her clients. In tailoring her approach to what feels right for her clients, she is also considerate and respectful of different cultural backgrounds and values.

 

In addition to working as a psychologist, Vivian is completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of New South Wales.  Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Honours) and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). She has published her research in international scientific journals (e.g., Child Abuse & Neglect, Psychiatry Research) on topics relating to parenting and the impact of childhood abuse. She remains actively engaged in research as she is passionate about the ongoing advancement of psychological treatments, and combines the latest evidence-based research with her clinical skills to help her clients optimize their psychological wellbeing.
